The Root Of All Evil

“The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist.” – Verbal Kint/Keyser Soze

It is common place to place blame for evil on the devil. Everything that is bad about the world can be heaped on his shoulders, and that’s all well and good. But who is the devil really? What is his mission? Where did he come from?

Now, Christians believe that God is good, God is perfect, and God is all-seeing, and all-knowing. He knows what you’re going to do before you do it and He has never changed His nature. God made man and gave him free will, and God also made angels, who have no free will. And therein lies the rub.

For you see, Satan aka Lucifer, aka the devil, used to be an angel. Then, as the story goes, he rebelled and was cast out, falling to earth where he began to use his angelic powers to oppose the will of the Creator, tempting mankind, and scoring an instant success with Eve and the forbidden fruit.

Now, angels have no free will, they do as they’re told, carrying messages to mankind and occasionally slaughtering a few hundred thousand Egyptian children to make the point that their boss is not to be fucked with and when He says “Let my people go” you let them go (despite shoving His hand up Pharaoh’s arse and working his mouth like a puppet so the poor man said no all the time). But I digress.

The point is, if there was no evil before Lucifer was made, and God is perfect, and Lucifer has no free will, then all he has ever done is follow his programming like any properly made machine. And follow it perfectly because his maker is perfect. Therefore, God deliberately created an evil angel, and is simultaneously the source of good and evil.

And like any good soldier, the devil remembers to check in with central command for updates to his mission and any special assignments. The best illustration of this occurs in the book of Job. The sons of God came to present themselves before Him, and Satan came among them, and God asked him where he had been, and he replied that he’d been travelling the world. Whereupon God asked him if in his travels he’d seen a man as faithful as Job, and Satan replied that Job was faithful only because God had blessed him with riches and a good family. And then God basically ordered Satan to go whack Job’s children, and destroy his business to prove that his faithfulness came from much deeper roots.

Now, get this: Satan not only has free access to Heaven, he is still considered to be one of the sons of God. And when he showed up God didn’t demand to know who let him in or what he was doing there, then throw him out, and fire whoever was on gate duty, oh no. Rather, God demanded to know where the heck he’d been, then gave him a special job. All of which makes Satan an elite general who is permitted to pick and choose his missions, but is working toward a general strategic objective.

The Bible tells you that ultimately, God will triumph over Satan. Which means the creation of Satan was a Machiavellian power play that the man himself would be extremely appreciative of. For one important piece of advice Niccolo gave the Prince was that he ought to create an enemy for himself that he could defeat, but make sure this enemy was not perceived as too weak to be a challenge to himself. Thus, when this enemy is defeated, the Prince’s prestige would rise.

So, Satan serves two purposes: firstly, he’s an “enemy” who has been created so he can be defeated at some point in the future. Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, he serves as a figure everyone can blame their inherent character flaws on, and blame for all the ills that assail them. For, if I personally came by your house one day and gave you a million dollars and then the next day I personally came by and burned your house to the ground and murdered your children, you’d say I was one crazy, twisted, fucking bastard, and you’d never want to have anything to do with me.

However, if I sent someone to burn your house down and murder your children, you’d still think I was a good guy, as long as you don’t connect me to the murdering arsonist I unleashed on you. And if you do, I can always claim that he’s a former associate who went rogue. Why would I do that to you? Well, because I can.

And that, is perhaps Satan’s greatest purpose. He’s ostensibly the ex-servant of God who turned evil, defied his master and came down here to screw up this perfect creation of His. He’s not of God, he’s just a twisted, sick bastard and one day God is going to punch his ticket and put an end to his reign over the world.

When you read between the lines, you discover that Satan is no more than a highly dedicated servant carrying out the instructions of his master, and even though those instructions make him appear to be opposed to his master, he fits into an overall game plan.
I say the greatest trick God ever pulled was convincing the world that the devil isn’t actually working for Him, and has been the entire time. Which makes Satan the world’s greatest and most successful double agent, for he isn’t actually playing for "the other side." The other side doesn’t exist.

Only you would postulate thus! Wondering why law, not philosophy
I like and of course whereas there is a truism to your thesis, you know there is a defence and a classification? Illuminati

You have put up an opinion piece which I honestly would say is brilliant (to an extent).
I can also tell that You've studied the bible, or at least some part of it.

But Two questions...
1.) Have You ever spoken to either THE MOST HIGH GOD or the devil about this particular topic?
2.) Is this a write up to indirectly show support to the devil?

I feel like there is a much deeper reason to Your write up, it's either:

You've trusted GOD before and something made you wihtdraw that trust, and hence caused a disconnect from OUR MAKER, or made You question his authority and speak so rudely towards HIM (swearing is not nice on any level).

OR

You Support the devil (point blank).

Whichever it may be; I'll have You know certain things...

ANGELS & the devil:
i.) Angels do have free will, thier "PURPOSE" is to serve GOD and obey HIS commandments; Psalm 103:20&21- "Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. [21] Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure"; This however doesn't mean they cannot make a decision not to; Jude 1:6- "And the angels which KEPT NOT their first estate, but LEFT their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day". I'm sure You know that one third (1/3) of the angels in heaven followed the devils plan, and as a result got kicked out with him.
GOD didn't create replacements, why? Because angels are not robots...It's not a break one make one order up there. The difference with angels is that, they cannot be saved or redeemed after turning agaisnt GOD (which is the grace we enjoy), but ultimately it's their choice to make.

EGYPT:
ii) GOD isn't a slave master, if he was You would never have been able to create your write up.
The then killing of all Egyptian first born, was a direct revenge (Romans 12:19b Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord) to the act of the pharaoh before Ramses (the pharaoh Moses faced), who killed all male hebrew children (GOD'S own people) out of fear that they would grow and conquer them.

GOD hardening pharaohs heart was to prove to him that HE THE ALMIGHTY is the one true GOD, and that HE would rescue HIS children with A MIGHTY HAND, and yes there was the need to.

Why? Because the egyptians had created thier own world and had called themselves GOD, pharaoh was addressed as the Morning and evening star (the exact title lucifer bears), they were a babylonian empire who stood agaisnst GOD, and thrived on GOD'S select people. GOD was not going to fold HIS amrs and watch after all HIS promises to Abraham, Isaac & Jacob, because then You would say HE doesn't keep to HIS promises.

JOB:
As for Job, GOD was simply boasting about HIS loyal servant. The bible makes Us understand that GOD never lets HIS chidlren face trials they cannot overcome (by HIS grace).

Understand that GOD isn't afraid of the devil, so what's the need for him to be sent out? After all GOD did create HIM and so he still belongs to HIM, the case with lucifer is that he's just filled with pride. That's why he's disobedient and rebellious, you cannot love GOD and worship HIM if You have pride. GOD is the only one allowed to boast of HIMSELF, and even then HE seldom does.

GOD didn't do any evil to Job the devil did, the devil had noticed Job and would've attacked if not for GOD'S protection, he wanted to prove to GOD that Job loved HIM only because of HIS provision and protection, Job 1:9-12 [9]“Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied. [10]“Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. [11]But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face [12]The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.”

GOD being a master planner used that as an opportunity to teach Job to trust HIM till the end Job 42:5&6 [5]My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you [6]Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes."

After all this GOD restored all that Job had in double portion, not that Job deserved to be tempted but You see when Man has wealth and affluence it's very easy to ignore GOD. That's why the LOVE of money is the root of all evil, it could easily replace the love for & of GOD in mans heart.

Understand one thing, GOD is just, kind, and merciful...AND also a consuming fire, with a lot of discipline. Grace allows Us repent when we sin, whereas the devil isn't looking for redemption, he wants to take as many people as possible to hell with him.

Until You've strived to get into GOD'S secret place and taste of HIS love, kindness nd mercy first hand...You would never fully understand who GOD truly is.

You've got questions? Ask! Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

So My friend seek GOD genuinely, if You need answers go to THE CREATOR, so that You may also know Your own purpose and how You fit into HIS master plan.

If You decide like the devil that You want to make Your own path, and create Your kingdom as opposed to GOD'S well that's up to You, but what do You stand to gain? For there is no other good than GOD.

When You're ready, with an open heart simply say LORD JESUS CHRIST, I (your name) believe in You & I recieve You today.

Welcome to GOD'S family!!
